While this is an organization primarily located in California, it is an online organization that provides information, support, and resources for family caregivers with a special focus on caring for adults with age-related impairments and chronic health issues. This organization is a foundation that is targeted at aging adults and caregivers, but all of the information is patient-friendly, as it discusses different kinds of care that one may need. What makes this organization slightly different from other organizations mentioned here is that it also focuses on friends who may be caregivers. NATIONAL ASSOCATION FOR FAMILY CHILD CARE (NAFCC)
NAFCC is a national nonprofit that focuses on family childcare through home-based early learning programs centered on children who have nonrelatives as their caregivers. What makes this organization different from other organizations previously mentioned is that this has a deliberate focus on home-based care. This organization would be appropriate for a student who cares for a child that is not related, or for a student who intends to become a family childcare educator doing home visits.
