This is the official website of Administration for Community Living (ACL), overseen by the government. It is intended as an online platform connecting families to specific programs and services as well as tools and resources and advocates, so that family members and people with disabilities can live independently. There are a sister website and resources for indigenous families, which may be of particular interest.

FAMILY CAREGIVER ALLIANCE

While this is an organization primarily located in California, it is an online organization that provides information, support, and resources for family caregivers with a special focus on caring for adults with age-related impairments and chronic health issues. There are numerous webinars and videos and resources available in a variety of languages.

HEALTHINAGING.ORG

This organization is a foundation that is targeted at aging adults and caregivers, but all of the information is patient-friendly, as it discusses different kinds of care that one may need. Vaccination information is available as well as information about cultural differences, something that may be necessary with diverse populations.

NATIONAL ALLIANCE FOR CAREGIVING

What makes this organization slightly different from other organizations mentioned here is that it also focuses on friends who may be caregivers. NAC has programs and collaboratives that are for caregivers for cancer patients or transplant patients. There are guidebooks, resources, and events available.

NATIONAL ASSOCATION FOR FAMILY CHILD CARE (NAFCC)

NAFCC is a national nonprofit that focuses on family childcare through home-based early learning programs centered on children who have nonrelatives as their caregivers. What makes this organization different from other organizations previously mentioned is that this has a deliberate focus on home-based care. This organization would be appropriate for a student who cares for a child that is not related, or for a student who intends to become a family childcare educator doing home visits.
